STORAGE&HANDLING
Store the product in a cool & dry place.It absorbs moisture & oxidizes if container is not kept tightly closed. If heated over 60℃ SO2 is evolveforming Sodium Sulphite. For more information kindly refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet.
 
MAJOR APPLICATIONS OF FOOD GRADE SOIUM METABISULPHITE:
1. food industry as additive preservative antioxidant and antimicrobic for fruits (dries glazed and candled),vegetables(onionspotatoesetc.)juices(citrus and grapes)and fish(shrimps and prawns).
2. silage treatment as antifermentative
3. desalting plants with reverse osmosis or drinking water treatment(for removing excess chlorine)
4. Starch and sweeteners Production as bacteriostatic
 
MAIOR APPLICATIONS OF TECH GRADE SODIUMMETABISULPHITE:
1. Waste water-treatment to remove excess Chlorine, as chrome reducer(tanneries and chrome plants), for decianuration treatment(gold mining)and for decreasing metal contaminants(mainly copper)
2. Chemical synthesis in the production of sodium hydrosulfite,sulphonates, cleaning detergents, resins and Purification of Aldehydes and ketonespesticidesherbicides
3. Pulp and Paper for Delignification and Textile as Beaching Agent and for removing the excess of chlorine and peroxides
4. Tanneries as an Auxiliary in decalcification &Bleaching Process
5. Starch Production as bleaching agent &bactericidal
6. Mining Industry as Floating agent, cyanide detoxification or as reducing agent in metal refining(copper recovery)
7. Steam boiler & drilling water as oxygen scavenger.
